These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on ParentalCatalyst. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. General Netiquette

    1. Use the search function before you start posting

      Some of your questions might be answered in a previous thread #
    2. Use semantic thread topics

      Thread topic must be relevant and useful, also meaningful thread meaning it will be easy to index in the search engine #
    3. Provide context when replying to posts

      Quote if you are reply to someone, however don't over use it #
    4. Challenge arguments, not people

      Do not attack other people, attack their argument — and this does not mean changing "you are an idiot" into "your comments are idiotic". If you take issue with someone else's position, try to explain why you disagree with them in a polite and professional manner, providing suitable supporting evidence as required.
      Abuse, insults and personal attacks directed at other people, particularly other Parental Catalyst users, are unacceptable. #
    5. No Religious debates

      Religious debates are unwinnable, respect each other. Religions debates is like your salary, no one wants to know about it, and you should not share it with anyone. #

    1. Parental Catalyst maintains appropriate and reasonable procedures to safeguard your data collected on the website in compliance with Australian Privacy Principles(The Privacy Act 1988) & Collects the following data

  3. Defamation Rules

      Defamation is where a person or small business seeks damages for loss of reputation due to someone publishing or otherwise distributing defamatory material that causes others to think less of them. Defamatory material can take many forms including blogs, articles, novels, poems, photos, songs, emails, cartoons, drawings, paintings, online reviews, social media posts, and more.
